Thermo-mechanical Analysis of 3-Dimensional Hertz Contact Problem by Using Simplex Algorithm

초록

A numerical procedure for contact analysis and calculating subsurface stress has been developed. The procedure takes the advantage of simplex algorithm to achieve shorter computing time. Flamant solution and Boussinesq solution were adopted as response function in contact analysis. Comparing the numerical results with the exact solutions has proved the validity of this procedure.
