Frequency domain spectral element modeling and analysis of the FGM bars subjected to axial motions

This paper presents a frequency domain spectral element model to investigate the dynamics and waves in a three-layer FGM axial bar subjected to longitudinal motion. The material properties of the FGM layer (between core and outer layer) are assumed to be uniform in the axial direction, but vary in the radial direction according to the power law.
