Optimization of waveguide devices by using 3-dimensional numerical analysis methods

초록

Optimization of waveguide device based on the 3-dimensional treatment like 3D-BPM and 3D-mode solver is newly proposed. This method has been found highly effective in the design and the optimization of multimode interference devices, and arrayed waveguide devices, ultimately aiming at the miniaturization and the integration of microscale photonic devices.
