On the Hull Form Design of River-Canal going Pusher-Barge

The paper describe preliminary design works for Han-River - Canal going Pusher-Barge. It reports some design consideration on the operational requirements, outline general arrangement and hull form design of this type of ship. To predict the resistance performance of the Pusher-Barge, towing tank model tests are carried out and a finite-difference method based on MAC method is applied to analyze the flow field around the hull forms.
