초록

The electromechanical actuator based on cellulose paper and conducting polypyrrole has been achieved by electrochemical deposition of polypyrrole onto cellulose paper {herein after referred to as CP-EAPap}. The conducting polypyrrole was electro-generated using a galvanostatic conditions with current density of 0.5 mA/ cm2 for different time intervals. The two types of actuators were constructed namely: 1 PPy/ Cellophane ?Bi-layer and 2 PPy/ Cellophane paper/ PPy Tri-layer. The performance of CP-EAPap in air medium was tested at different humidity levels. The effect of humidity on the actuation properties was addressed. The effect of various dopant ions on actuation behavior was discussed.
