초록

Intracranial hamartoma occurs commonly in the hypothalamus, rare in other site. We experienced a hamartoma in cerebellum. Here we report 2-month-old girl with abnormal left eyelid blinking and myoclonic seizure of left extremities for one month. Magnetic resonance imaging demonstrated a 1.9×2.1×2.5 cm sized non enhancing mass like lesion in left side of vermis of cerebellum. She underwent excision of mass. Histological examination revealed the lesion was composed of mixed neurons and glial cells with lack of organization. There was no obvious hypercellularity. Immunohistochemically, the neurons are positive for NeuN and the glial cells are posive for GFAP. Ki-67 labeling index was less than 1%. These findings were consistent with hamartoma. After the operation, the seizure disappeared. Key Words: Hamartoma, Cerebellum
