Study on Antithetical City Model of Dalian Emerged During the Period of De-colonization

초록

Colonial municipalities take on western city models when genre of loci takes effects. It is a common conclusion to preserve and then develop remaining historical sites domestic and colonial. Xigan district of Dalian municipality is residentail district of colonial relics that is fading out of the minds fo local people. From the point of post-colonial, this city district bears double-fold cultural characteristics, which also can be seen and applicable in studying other sub-colonail cities in Northeast China. The auther indicates that new space pattern can be created in the colonial cities where exchanges and mixed boundaries of differnt cultures exist.
