A Study on the measurement of Diagnosis Parameter by Feature Point Recognition of Radial Pulse

This paper proposes a new algorithm on feature point extraction and automatic recognition of human radial pulse using 3Q-1 period method. This algorithm is a method that runs in parallel with both the data of ECG and differential pulse simultaneously. These concepts are based upon the idea that three Q points of ECG give obious discrimination of one entire period of pulse in any abnormal cases, and newly defined feature lines at the differential counterpart can be used to recognize some feature points in one period of pulses. Also, we specified 3-time elements of pulse wave as main parameters for diagnosis and measured them by execution of algorithm. The feature point is recognized by the computer using this algorithm and measured Up-time, E-time and Tp-time. We confirmed that these parameters can give us quantitative and valuable information for the diagnosis of human radial pulse.
