NFT Contents Enjoyment and Policy Suggestions - Focusing on Digital Aura Concept -

The purpose of this paper is to explore the changes in cultural content after the appearance of NFT from the perspective of digital aura. And, this paper explored the possibility of NFT as a digital aura through aspect of transition in the concept of aura and the characteristics of NFT and blockchain. At the same time, we looked at the current status of the game industry and the music industry as a research subject along with notable issues. Through the above discussion, the elements of NFT such as uniqueness, rarity, ownership, decentralization, and interoperability for use as a methodological framework were derived. The research results of this paper are as follows. In other words, the digital aura of NFT content can be presented as the type of ‘decentralized digital aura’, ‘digital aura by rarity and possessive desire', and ‘digital aura by algorithm’. This has the implication: moving the enjoyment of content from a vertical structure to a horizontal structure, forming a new sense of distance from the content, and seeking a change in the content business model. In conclusion, this paper confirmed the potential of NFT content, but at the same time, side effects accordingly could be identified. In response, this paper raised the government's clear copyright standards on the issue of NFT copyright infringement and suggested the necessity of policies such as the application of regulatory sandboxes to resolve the gambling controversy of P2E games.
