Optimum Design of Forklift Frame for weight minimization

초록

Forklift is a machine that can transport cargo using a hydraulic fork. Forklift trucks are often used for cargo transport in warehouse and container shipping. Much research has been done in the field of forklift development to improve transport efficiency and safety. In particular, there is active research on the efficiency of transmission frames. Lightweight forklift components improve transportation efficiency by improving fuel economy. In this paper, design parameters for lightweight fork lift frame optimization were selected through structural analysis and sensitivity analysis of forklift frame. Lightweight optimization of the frame was performed based on this variable. The results of the structural analysis were used to change the thickness of the frame using the Hypermorph function to perform a sensitivity analysis. Constraints and objectives for optimization to minimize the weight of the frame while maintaining the work capability and stability of the forklift.
