Preparation of Ultra-fine Alumina Powders by D.C. Plasma Jet

초록

Ultra-fine alumina has been prepared by DC thermal plasma. Aluminum powder rapidly vaporized in plasma flame and instantaneously react with ambient oxyen gas. Also, it has been observed that the small droplets, which remained unevaporized completely, changed to metastable aluminum oxide. ........... .............. .............. .............. The powders were characterized as it was obtained, and after various heat treatment.
