From the structural point of view, MCM-48, due to the two independent 3 dimensional channel systems is expected to be a useful host. Here we had extended the metallocene grafting technique of Maschmeyer et al. to such elements as Ti , V, Zr and Mo in MCM-48. These metal incorporated MCM-48s were extensively characterized and a comparison was made as a catalyst for oxidation of bulky 2,6-di-tert-butyl phenol using hydrogen peroxide. Transition metal substituted MCM-48 could be prepared very efficiently using metallocene-grafting technique. Incorporation of the various metallocene species grafted to the MCM-48 mesopore structure was confirmed by UV-vis spectroscopy. The metallocene grafted MCM-48s were active as catalysts for liquid phase oxidation of 2,6-DTBP with aqueous H2O2. The metal became probably incorporated within the siliceous framework via thermal activation during calcination. The resulting metallosilicate MCM-48s showed superior structural integrity and higher catalytic activities compared to the catalysts prepared by the addition of a metal source into the reactant gel in a direct hydrothermal synthesis. 4 page 이하이므로 제출용으로 사용않음.
