In this study, we developed a miniature wireless in-ear device for biosignal monitoring. The device is based on a flexible printed circuit board (FPCB), allowing it to be folded or deformed while maintaining stable biosignal measurements. Using a reflected photoplethysmogram (PPG) sensor, the device measures oxygen saturation (SpO2) and heart rate (HR) and transmits the data wirelessly via Bluetooth low energy (BLE). Compression and tensile tests on various silicone materials showed the high durability and low deformation rate of Ecoflex (1:1), which was used for packaging the in-ear device. This ensures reliable data acquisition and high resistance to motion artifacts, even in daily environments. This research presents a reliable and commercially feasible solution for real-time biosignal monitoring that has its potential to advance wearable healthcare.
