Urban Design Practice in Old Town Rehabilitation

초록

This study attempts to examine how to generate new cultural products and how to represent the strategy for cultural monopolization into various types of production and consumption under the process of post-industrialization and post-modernization. The study stresses the qualitative urban development established by the equilibrium of the spontaneous urban space and the cityscape through a case study of urban design practice. It is attempted through the urban design practice, to explore the strategy of rejuvenation of the dilapidated scenes and streets in a city, in order to regenerate the substance of a city succeeded from the past at present times.
