Objective: To know the usefulness of uHPVChip as a screening tool to detect cervical neoplasia Methods: The authors did uHPVChip (Biomed, Korea) and cervical HPVChip (cHPVChip) tests simultaneously to 29 pathologic proven cervicitis, 53 CIN and 39 invasive cervix cancer (ICC) patients. Results: Among cervicitis, CIN, and ICC patients, the positive rate of cHPVChip was 15.4%, 82.0% and 76.5%. Among cervicitis, CIN, and ICC patients, the positive rate of uHPVChip was 6.9%, 47.2% and 46.1%. When cHPVChip test is positive, the positive rate of uHPVChip was 50%, 56.1% and 53.8%. When cHPVChip test was negative, the negative rate of uHPVChip test is 100%, 88.8% and 75%. Conclusion: As uHPVChip results reflected cHPVChip results, we might use uHPVChip as a screening tools for those who could not or do not want to undergo cervical smear or biopsy.
