Insurance planners' task abilities are composed of planners' attitudes, skills and knowledges about insurance. This study investigated the insurance planners’ task abilites that may cause workers’ job satisfaction. Especially differing task abilities between higher and lower satisfaction group were investigated. Insurance planners’ levels of job satisfaction by seven detailed categories are divided statistically. Task satisfaction is affected by the planners' attitude other than knowledge or skill. Satisfaction of payment also affected by the attitude variable but mostly by her/his skill of planning insurance products. Satisfaction about co-workers has related to all three variables - attitude, skill and knowledge. Overall job satisfaction is mostly affected by his/her attitude to deal with customers or works. The other three variables could not be explained by the three variables we selected in this study. Most of all, attitude variable is a count variable measuring the degree of planners' satisfaction level; high, middle, or low. The results from other variables are insignificant or mixed. Judging from these observations, the insurance planners' job satisfaction is mostly depends on the attitude ability other than skill and knowledge abilities in her/his business activities. The importance of personal control is related to the job performance and satisfaction. However, the other two variables also play a statistically significant role in the cases of the payment and co-workers satisfaction levels. The results showed the need to consider facets of job satisfaction based on the planners task ability.
