초록

This study introduces chain block thermodynamic analysis method and its application for heat recovery boilers with water spray (HR-Bs/WS) which have working fluids recirculating only the system insides. The system is divided into several blocks depending on their operating conditions and required design information. A block has independent mass and energy equations and the chain block incorporates serially connected blocks with outlet conditions from the front block used as inlet conditions for the next. The chain block method was very convenient for obtaining design specification, operating conditions of each component, as well as system performance. HR-B/WS systems achieved up to 95 % thermal efficiency and decrease flame temperature about 100-150 degrees C compared to the basic boilers.
