Regulation of immune responses by mTORC1

초록

The mechanistic or mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) integrates various environmental signals/cues to regulate cell growth, proliferation, metabolism, and survival. However, how mTOR signals involve to immune system is still unclear. Recently, I reported that mTOR signaling pathway is critical regulator in iNKT cell lineage development and effector function, and mast cell function and homeostasis, as well as memory T cell response using Raptor, TSC1 or DGKs knock-out mouse model. These findings can provide further understanding on how mTOR regulates immune system.
