Exploring the Meaning of Care in the Teaching Case of North Korean Defector Elementary School Students

The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics and meaning of care in the case of North Korean defector students education. To accomplish this, we selected four teachers who had experience teaching North Korean defector students in North Korean defector students concentrated elementary school. As a participant, we selected data from April 2015 to August 2016, Analysis and case study. As a result of the analysis, it is found that the form of guiding North Korean defector elementary school student is similar to that of 'Parents Care for Their Children,' and it is an educational program for the North Korean defector students who are socially and economically disadvantaged. In addition, the characteristic that the North Korean defector students education emphasizes the convergence with the school and the members of society has the same orientation as the caring for the integration of education through the relationship education. Finally, both North Korean defector students education and care services emphasize the consumer centered and customized support. The fact had the implication that the school education in North Korean defector students is similar to that of caring requires a careful consideration of the role of caring in the adjustment of North Korean defector students and their parents, and North Korean student teacher should teach North Korean students in terms of caring.
