초록

In this study, a spectral element model for rectangular membrane is presented. Entire solution of membrane is divided into two sub-solutions based on the superposition principle. Then, each sub-solution is represented by spatial-domain spectral series with respect to x and y coordinates, respectively, based on the general solution of governing equation. Applying the projection method and force-displace relations of membrane, a frequency domain spectral element matrix equation can be readily obtained. The accuracy of proposed spectral element model is investigated in due course through comparisons with exact solution and well-known finite element method.
