초록
Linked with underground malls, department stores, and city's main building, today's subway stations are not anymore a simple urban infrastructure but increasingly recoded to be urban landmark places. It tells that urban traffic infrastructures, by interconnecting the fragmented urban tissues linearly, possess a great potential to be multi-laterally interpreted and transformed with surrounding contexts. This study intends to investigate how the stations relate with socio-cultural realms of the city through transforming the site on the construction location, and how to develop three dimensional environment that can recode the city memories, and to suggest the way how to input the subway station as a sensitive urban program generating experiential space.
