This study focuses on the preconditioning methods for adjoint equations of the compressible Euler equations. A strategy to find the adjoint forms of a preconditioning matrix and an artificial dissipation for the Roe's approximate Riemann solver is proposed. Preconditioned adjoint equations are solved using the implicit boundary condition techniques in an unstructured grid system. The convergence histories of the proposed preconditioning methods will be compared for several well-known problems.
