Ultrasonographic findings of knee joint in asymptomatic Korean adults

Background: Ultrasonography is becoming a popular method to diagnose the musculoskeletal disease. But, There is little published data on the ultrasonographic finding in the normal adult. This study was aimed to illustrate ultrasonographic features of knee joint in asymptomatic normal Korean adult. Methods: Fifty-three asymptomatic volunteers underwent ultrasonographic evaluation. The variables were fluid accumulation, morphology of synovium, meniscus, Baker's cyst, osteochondroma, spur, joint space narrowing, and cartilage thickness.
