A study on the establishment of chemical substance registration system in the university for autonomous safety management of laboratories in Korea

Chemicals used in university labs are distributed in a variety of ways. Also, it tends to lead accidents because of frequent replacement of their members. It causes insufficient management of chemicals in long-term storage. It is important to identify the types and quantities of chemicals, which are handled and stored in each individual laboratories, to prevent accidents. In this study, the best practices abroad universities are analyzed and compared with the chemical management system in korea. The study will present methods to figure out and manage the entire life cycle assessment of chemical in domestic universities.
