초록
As international regulations on environmental pollution intensify, existing and new ships need to reduce their carbon footprint. Accordingly, the ship owner focuses on a more detailed performance estimate of the ship. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the performance in waves to estimate the more detailed performance of the ship. In the previous studies, it was confirmed that the ventilation occurred when the propeller immersion depth was changed, and the pro-peller open water performance was deteriorated. However, most of them were focused on the advance ratio at the same depth or relation of varying immersion depth in the bollard state. In this study, propeller open water performanc-es with varying immersion depth was calculated using CFD and the results of propeller open water characteristics with varying immersion depth were compared with the propeller open water performance in waves.
