초록
High-speed wireless network is expected to support multimedia applications. Small-sized cells cause frequent handoff and rapid changes in the network traffic conditions, making QoS guarantees to be a difficult job. Resource estimation and reservation scheme using three sectored cells are proposed. By using three sectored cell and pilot signal of directional antenna, we easily predict the direction of the mobile host. The performance of the proposed scheme is compared to the shadow cluster concept. The simulation results show the shadow cluster concept with proposed scheme less connection-blocking rate and less connection-dropping rate, and achieves high bandwidth utilization.
