Fabrication and Optical Properties of 1D MoS2/2D WSe2 Heterostructures
초록
Mixed-dimensional van der Waals (vdW) heterostructures, created by integrating nanostructures of different dimensionalities, exploit the unique properties of their individual components to achieve enhanced functionalities. These heterostructures provide a rich platform for exploring novel physics and constructing programmable nanostructures for a wide range of device applications. In particular, mixed-dimensional vdW semiconducting heterostructures that combine 1D nanowires and 2D materials with appropriate band alignment can significantly improve optoelectronic properties, such as light absorption efficiency, and modulate interfacial charge carrier density, owing to their high surface-to-volume ratios. Here, we report a mixed dimensional vdWheterostructure preparedby transferring1D MoS2 nanowires onto 2D WSe2 monolayers. Photoluminescence measurements reveal the presence of interlayer excitons at the MoS2/WSe2 interface, confirming strong coupling between the two segments. The 1DMoS2/2DWSe2 vdWheterostructure presented in this study highlights a promising strategy for designing high performance optoelectronic devices.
