ANSYS Workbench를 이용한 디젤 엔진 과급기 터빈 응력 및 고유 진동수 해석 사례
초록
Turbochargers in combustion engines are used to increase the efficiency of the engines. Usually, the turbocharger has a compressor and a turbine wheel. The exhaust gas propels the turbine wheel which is mounted on the same shaft as the compressor wheel. The compressor wheel draws air from the intake tract of the engine and accelerates it towards the compressor housing. The turbine wheels are operated in high RPM and high temperature. High RPM and temperature makes a thermal stress, centrifugal stress and vibration in the blades. Failures may happen due to the stresses or the fatigue load by the vibration. Two failures were found in a turbine being newly designed. Present study shows an analytical procedure of calculating the thermal stress and natural frequency in attempt to avoid the resonance and satisfies the allowable maximum stress level by changing the thickness of turbine blades.
