초록

This paper reviews recent progress of high-speed optical time-division multiplexed (OTDM) and multi-channel wavelength-division multiplexed (WDM) / space-division multiplexed (SDM) technologies for large capacity optical signal processing. Requirements on functional devices used for such applications as well as their bottleneck and potential capability will be discussed.
