목적: Chronic subdural hematoma(CSDH) is a relatively common didease seen in the neurological field and occurs frequently in old age. Most neurodurgeons agree that twist drill or burr hole drainage with closed system is a rational therapeutic approach. However, we concerned how much to drain the hematoma and when to remove the catheter. We suggest the way to decide the proper amount of drainage and the time in order to remove the catheter on the preoperative brain CT in CSDH patiens. 결과: The mean age was 64.6 years and mean drainage count was 265ml. There were 5 alcoholics, 2 cases of intracranial operation and two CSF overdrainage. Two recurrence and 11 cases of bilateral CSDH was included. Mean drainage date was 5.91 days, daily drainage amount was 106.6ml, 22.3ml, 22ml, 19ml and 23ml respectively. We divided the patients two groups by drainage aount upper and lower 200ml. The b/a and c/d ratio of two group (drainage >200ml/drainage <200ml) was checked 0.51/0.46 (p=0.003) and 0.51/0.32 (p=0.007). But Frouping by drainage amount 300ml or 65 years has no significant meaning. 결론: The b/a c/d ratio can reflect the complication of brain on the Patiens of CSDH. That is, high ratio can means high compliance of brain and means that draining is over 200ml, this tract is helpful to regulate the catheter maintenance data and to estimate the drainage amount. The reliability of ratio was remained to identify prespectively.
