Electric and Magnetic Fields from 345kV Overhead Transmission Lines and Substations

This paper presents the results of measurements and analyses of ELF elecrtic and magnetic fields(E-and B-fields) in the vicinity of UHV overhead transmission lines and substations. The E- and B-fields measuring devices have been fabricated as three dimensionally with consideration of spatial components with distortion free. The practical measurements around 345kV power substations and under overhead transmission lines was tentatively carried out. It is known from these results that the E- and B- field distributions for horizontal arrangement of conductors differ from those for vertical arrangement of bundle conductors and the B- field strength around the substation and the overhead transmission lines is practically independent of the heigh above the ground in the range from 0.5 to 2[m]
