Application of Click Chemistry for the conjugation of β-Cyclodextrin with ATCUN derived Cu (II) binding peptide
초록
Cyclodextrins have found a wide range of application in pharmaceuticals, chemical industries, agriculture and environmental engineering due to their unique property to the formation of inclusion complexes with hydrophobic compounds. Conjugation of peptides with Cyclodextrin offers one approach for the development of metal selective receptors. However, the conjugation of peptides with Cyclodextrin is not straight forward and very often possesses a synthetic challenge. To this end, we applied Click Chemistry for the conjugation of well known ATCUN derived Cu(II) binding tripeptide with β-cyclodextrin to provide better yield. For the convenience of monitoring by fluorescence, anthracene was appended by C-terminus activation of protected peptide. The reaction condition was optimized and further host-guest chemistry was studied with various metal ions.
