초록
We propose the new photonic crystal devices based on multi-mode interference effects. Through the simple guided-mode propagation analysis, wavelength demultiplexer and power splitter are designed. Finite-difference time-domain calculations show that the validity of the general self-imaging principle and the possibility to design the extremely compact devices compared to conventional ones.
