Study of multilayer dielectric mirror-integrated colored perovskite solar cells
초록
Solar cells, which convert solar energy into electric power, are a key technology to provide the world with the most reliable and abundant renewable energy. An enormous amount of effort has been devoted to increasing the power conversion efficiency of the solar cells. However, traditional solar cells have dull and opaque appearance, which is unattractive arising from their thick photoactive layer thickness, so that their installation is highly limited to rooftops of the buildings. Recently, multi- and neutral-colored semitransparent solar cells have generated substantial interest due to their ability to integrated smoothly with automobile surfaces and building envelopes such as windows and facades. We introduce colored perovskite solar cells incorporated with a multilayer dielectric mirror, where a certain range of visible light is selectively reflected by the dielectric mirror for color generation and simultaneously the rest of incident light is efficiently harvested by the perovskite solar cells for electricity generation. The reflective colors are readily tuned by altering a center wavelength of the dielectric mirror. Moreover, effects of the dielectric mirror on both optical and electrical performance characteristics of the colored solar cells are investigated. We also explore how angles of incidence and incident polarization affect the properties of the colored solar cells. This study may provide design principles and insights for future multifunctional solar cells.
