Cluster-based Web server using Dynamic CBQ Model to Guarantee Quality of Media Service

The last few years have witnessed an explosive growth in the multimedia service like IP telephony, Internet radio, VOD, Teleconferencing, and interactive game. Thus Web traffic has increased at an exponential rate in limited network bandwidth. But early models of Internet protocol designed for small sized data transmission cannot support multimedia data transmission that requires real time service. And typical Web service models - providing best effort service - cannot guarantee the Quality of Service (QoS) for multimedia data. Thus QoS for multimedia service has received tremendous interests from many researches. In this paper we will apply Class Based Queueing (CBQ) model in dispatcher that manages load distribution at cluster-based Web server.
