초록

This study was performed to evaluato the applicability of URC process for drinking water treatment at eutrophicated water supply, comparing to conventional coagulation- sedimentation process. For the purpose, a number of jar test were performed. Injection of WCA can significantly reduce turbidity and aluminum, but no significant effect was found in NOM removal. Likewise, polymer reduction excessively reduce turbidity.Sludge return in the URC system can reduce headloss of sand filter at the lowest level among other conditions including a conventional coagulation process. It can also remove dissolved aluminum at 0.02 mg/L, but it cannot reduce UV254 absorbing NOM. It was concluded the URC process could improve a conventional water treatment system by the facts that residual aluminum and turbidity were significantly removed, while head loss was at lower extent retained in the sand filter.
