초록
This paper concerns the development of fore-body hull form optimization method considering nonlinear waves. The optimization algorithm uses the SQP(sequential quadratic programming) and the resistance performance is evaluated by a Marker-density method with nonlinear free surface conditions. The goose neck bulb is applied mainly for high speed vessels like passenger ships and container ships recently. For demonstration of the present method, the goose neck bulb optimization for minimum wave making resistance is considered. Several designed goose neck bulbs have been numerically tested and the results obtained by the numerical simulations have been compared with the original hulls.
