초록
This paper investigates design equations and strength behavior of diaphragm for steel box beam and circular column connections. The strength of connection is decided by the strength of diaphragm as well as the strength of beam and column, because connection diaphragm support the concentration forces from the box beam lower flange. However, in previous research, calculation procedure of diaphragm stress from the indeterminate curved beam model is too complicated to apply a usual practice. Irrational assumptions exist in deriving process of equation, Also, diaphragm effect for the strength of connection have not considered, Therefore, through the non-linear FEM analysis of connections, this study examines the strength behavior of connection with diaphragm details. connection behavior is investigated. Also, A great difference is confirmed between theoretical behavior and analytic one. Finally, diaphragm design method is proposed considering rigidity capacity of baem, column, and diaphragm.
