TC-99M CIPROFLOXACIN IMAGING IN VARIOUS CLINICAL SETTINGS

The aim of this study was to confirm these characteric using our own custom-formulated Tc-99m Ciprofloxacin. We have imaged 70 patients in the following clinical settings: patients with 1) orthopedic surgical prosthesis with suspicious bacterial infection, 2) soft tissue infection, 3) female pelvic inflammatory disease, 4) pulmonary tuberculosis, and 5) chronic prostatitis. We have achieved a 94% labeling efficiency. Tc-99m Ciprofloxacin imaging is as valid and convenient to use as any other previously reported in visualizing bacterial infection.
