초록
We analyzed the simulated characteristic patterns of the whispering gallery modes generated in a high-Q, wide free spectral range dielectric micro-disk resonator and coupled to a submicron-width rectangular waveguide. The excitation input into the FDTD was a sinc function in the time domain and the transmitted output displayed characteristic peaks of resonance wavelength. When we exactly excited the micro-disk resonator with these resonance wavelengths, there existed 1st-, 2nd-, and 3rd-order whispering-gallery modes in the disk which were then coupled out to the waveguide channel.
