초록
A new flexible double hull strudture with tube stiffeners and floating frames is presented for the structural energy absorbing system of the doublehull tanker. The dimension and disposition of tube stiffners are drtermined to give the maximum absorbing energy. The total weight of proposed double hull structure is kept the swame order of the standard VLCC's. A comparative study on collision resistance of these proposed side stru8ctures is carried out with standard double hull structure of 310K DWT class VLCC and presented the results for the improvements of the structural design.
