Design of High Performance, Low Noise Shroud Axial Fan

초록

This paper reports the design method of shroud axial fan of 365mm diameter in two-folds of performance and aero-acoustics. The performance and radiated noise of this shroud fan depends sensitively on sweep angle, the chord length, camber angle, and maximum camber position distribution. The design of shroud axial fans was performed using iDesignFanT.M. software, which enables this parametric study in a systematic manner. The noise spectra were compared in terms of these design parameters. The C-type swept blade of maximum camber at more downstream position was found to serve the design goal best.
