Cavernous nitric oxide synthase staining accurately diagnose neurogenic cause for erectile dysfunction

Introduction: Nitric oxide synthase(NOS) histochemistry has been found to provide important insight into the cavernous nerve integrity. However, attributable to lack of data in detail on the diagnostic competence of cavernous NOS staining. it is not widely utilized as a diagnostic method to evaluate neruogenic cause for erectile dysfunction. The present study was performed to investigate the diagnostic accuracy of NADPH diaphorase staining in comparison with other diagnostic tolls. Conclusion: Cavernous NADPH diaphorase staining is an accurate metod to directly diagnose neurogenci cause for erectile dysfunction in a quatitative manner.
