초록
The purpose of the present study is to investigate the characteristics of internal flow and heat transfer performance of corrugated plate heat exchanger by a liquid crystal method. In this investigation, air is utilized as a working fluid. In the past, the experiments mainly focus on the heat transfer performance between the inlet and the outlet conditions of the plate heat exchanger. But in the present experiments, local Nusselt number along the surface of a plate heat exchanger unitary cell has been investigated through a liquid crystal method. The results show that,as the Reynolds number increases, the heat transfer performance increases, but friction factor decreases in the plate heat exchanger. And, with increasing corrugation angle, the heat transfer performance and friction factor also increase. Therefore, an optimum angle can be found in this matter. And, it is also shown that the local heat transfer coefficient map can be obtained for the entire heat exchanger.
