Analysis of Noise and Surge Reduction Performance for Noise Cut Transformer

Noise or surge is unwanted electrical energy which can cause interference in the function of communications and data processing equipments. These devices require protection from such treats. Additionally, These devices are capable of adding their own EMI to the environment. thus compounding the problem. Many countries have therefore acted to restrict the amount of EMI which a device may emit. In this paper, analysis model for NCT having two functions, filtering noise and suppressing surge, is proposed. The proposed model is simulated with a simplified lumped circuit and compared with experimental results.
