초록
From March 1998 through July 2001, nineteen advanced breast cancer patients, previously exposed to chemotherapy except for taxanes, were treated with paclitaxel at a dose of 175mg/m2 in 3 hour drip and epirubicin at a dose of 60mg/m2 in bolus every 3 weeks. The median age of the patients was 44 (range 33-74), 10 patients (56%) were exposed to anthracyclines, 16 patients (89%) had surgery and adjuvant chemotherapy before recurrence, and 10 patients (56%) had adjuvant radiotherapy. Among eighteen patients evaluable, 3 patients (16.7%) showed partial response, 12 (66.7%) showed stable disease, and 3 (16.7%) progressed. Median progression free survival duration was 4.7 months (range 1.8-38.2), and median overall survival duration was 30.4 months (12.8-168 months). A total of 114 cycles (average 6) of chemotherapy was administered. Treatment related mortality was absent. Major toxicity was myelosuppression (17 of 19 patients) and leukopenia over grade 3 was seen in 5 of 17 patients.
