Microstructure and Wear-Resistant property of SiC-particle Reinforced Aluminium Marix Composites Fabricated by Spray Casting Process

This paper describes the characteristics in microstructure of the spray-cast preforms, and the effects of micrstructural parameters such as the volume fraction of SiC particulate and the shape of silicon phase on the wear resistant of spray-cast and extruded Al-Si near-eutectic alloy were evaluated.
