Mechanoluminescence-based Mechanical Sensors and Their Aoolication to Automotive Industry
초록
This study presents the preliminary study on the development of new type deformation (strain) sensor for automotive tire based on mechnoluminescence(ML). While a tire tread that is the only part of the tire that comes into contact with the road is rolling on a hard surface, circumferential strain (deformation) can be induced. An embedded ML composite sensor consisting of a ML microparticle dispersed into PDMS offers the ability to monitor the health status of automotive tire treads. This study provides fundamental knowledge for the development of new smart tire sensing technology based on ML intensity detection.
