Time-Dependent FEM Modeling of Melt Pool of Laser Cladding by Adaptive Mesh and Relative Refernce Frame Method

초록

In this paper the melt pool of laser cladding is modeled by time-dependent finite element method. Adaptive mesh is used to adapt the mesh to the melt pool shape and clad layer width which change during laser cladding. The reference frame are first attached to the laser power during cladding period and then attached to the workpiece at a certain time. Heat conduction outside the cross section perpendicular to the cladding direction is neglected. The variations of dilution, melt pool width and melt pool depth and their influence factors are also predicted.
