Common variant of MTNR1B associated with fasting plasma glucose in korean population

초록

The MTNR1B belongs to the class of G protein-coupled receptors, and is thought to influence insulin secretion by inhibiting the accumulation of cAMP. We intvestigated whether common genetic variation within the MTNR1B locus was associated with type 2 diabetes mellitus, fasting plasma glucose, and insulin secretion in Korean population.
